This video, and song of course, rocks! Not the phone sex part, but the band playing. What a great bass line, and I love how Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are singing and staring at each other. Rock on Aerosmith! Rock on!

Love the ending when Stevie just jammin'.

"There I go...turn the page"

I was listening to Lewis and Floorwax this morning at work and even though it's mostly a talk show, if it's someone's birthday, or some band is coming to town, etc. they play songs from that person or band. Well this morning they were doing some Zeppelin songs and they played the intro to "Ten Years Gone" from the Physical Graffiti album. It's an awesome song and I just had to hear the rest of it. It got me to searching the web for Led Zeppelin and I came across this picture taken in 1977 on wikipedia. Awesome freakin' pic. You can...

I love me some Sheryl Crow. What a great song. **Sorry for the advertisement. Whadya gonna do?

Love this song. One of my absolute favorites.

Wow. I must be living in a vacuum or something because I just heard about this band. I saw a link to their new video on The Fox web site. Awesome. I might have to buy the CD. They're touring this summer and will be in Detroit on August 8th. Unfortunately I'll be up in northern Minnesota playing golf that weekend or I would definitely be going to see them. They're playing a place called The Fillmore in Detroit. Hmmm. I've never heard of it. I'll bet it'd be sweet though. At least I'll be having a lot of fun golfing...

This is a jam.

The girls bought me "Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Runnin' Down a Dream" DVD set for my birthday. Tom Petty is probably my favorite musican/band. They are so tight and clean. Anyway, I started watching it this morning before football and absolutely loved it! I found it an interesting story how they got started. There's also a couple good stories about a "festival" they put on with a bunch of bands and how they made their way out west to make an album. Great stuff from the 70's. What I really noticed though was how likeable Tom Petty is. He seems...

Is it me, or does Kid Rock look just like Leon Russell...

Love this song. This is a great live version.

She's one of my favorites. I just found this tonight and thought I'd share.

Great tune.

The girl can play! Concerts in the 70's. Awesome. You can almost smell the pot!

Nothin' Better To Do - LeAnn Rimes Boondocks - Little Big Town Another Sunny Day 12/25 - John Mellencamp Can't Find My Way Home - Styx Lay It On the Line - Triumph Everything Is Going Our Way - Santana The Night Owls - Little River Band  Do It Again - Steely Dan Breakdown - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Summer...

I'm watching Sammy Hagar on HDNet right now. Sammy's one of my favorites. The man is 60 years old this year. Truthfully, if I didn't know how old he is, I would say he's about my age (48). My sister turned 60 this year and I guess she has a really hard time with it. I can't say I blame her. I will probably have a very hard time when I turn 50 in two years. Anyway, Sammy's on stage right now drinking tequila and "trying" to persuade this beautiful young girl, whose about a third of his age, to leave...

I bought this album the other night and I am really enjoying it. Some really great songs from my younger years that are still close enough to the original versions but also have a contemporary sound to them. I am a big fan of acoustic guitars with dirty sounding electric during the solos which some of the songs have. Tommy Shaw is definitely one of my favorite guitarists.

I'm sure I'm way late on this but I still get a lot of hits from my previous post about Jerry C. Looks like he has his own site now and someone else has posted a site with all of his videos. Enjoy. Video site - http://www.jerryc.co.uk/ Jerry's site - http://jerryc.tw

So I did it. Last week I went and got me a new “axe”. A Fender Squier Strat like I said. It's candy apple red with a white pick guard and a maple neck. She's a beauty! It plays and sound great. I also picked up Fender Champion 300 amp. Like it? That's my Washburn acoustic standin' next to it. It has a great sound too.

Wow! And here's another one. Unbelievable. Update: I had to remove these links, someone else on a busy site must be linking to them and it's killing my machine. Sorry.

So I've started playing my guitar again. Even though I've been playing for a very long time, I'm not very good. Well, I'm not really bad either. But I don't know a lot of songs and I mostly just strum them instead of picking the individual notes. Anyway, I would really like to get better and I plan on spending a lot more time practicing and playing. I have to say though, in my opinion, there has never been a better time to play or learn the guitar. I'm speaking of course, of the Internet. I've only been searching for a few...

A good buddy of mine sent me this picture that was taken, oh, I would guess 8 to 10 years ago. We used to take these fishing/camping/drinking trips out to Bruin Lake, which is near Brighton, every year. It was actually a fishing tournament. We called it “Bass-a-mania“. It wasn't anything serious, just a reason to get away and to put our boats in the water. We usually caught more hangovers than fish but we always had a great time! This is a picture of me playing a little "git-tar by the campfar“. (Sorry, that's a bad attempt at rhyming) That's Dennis...

I like to listen to streaming radio over the Internet. I'm really glad that a lot of stations have started streaming again. I'm not sure what the problem was before, but a lot of them stopped doing it. I think it had something to do with the commercials but I'm not sure. Here are 2 very good classic rock stations that I like to listen to... KRFX 103.5 The Fox in Denver and KSAN 107.7 “The Bone” in San Francisco Enjoy!

REO Speedwagon is one of my very favorites. I picked up this double CD today along with a new set of headphones. It has all my favorites and then some. A few that come to mind are “Like You Do”, “157 Riverside Avenue“ and “Flying Turkey Trot”. I think that the last time I heard these songs I was playing an album. You know, a record. An “LP”. A “33”? Anyway, it's been awhile. I think one of the reasons that REO is one of my favorite bands goes back to my honeymoon. Gayla and I went to Fort Lauderdale on our...
