I’ve been thinking A LOT about my mom and dad lately. My mom died in 1993 and my dad in 1997. Cancer. Both of them.

I wish they were here to see what a wonderful young woman Jamie has become. They would be so proud. I wish they were here to see Kari graduate from college. They would be so proud. I wish they were here to see our new house. They would’ve liked it.

Before we moved in, I would be here (our new house) late at night painting by myself. I kept thinking that I would look up and see them standing there. You know, like one of those scenes you see in a movie or TV show. Like I would have this one quick time where I could see and talk to them again. It was weird. I like to think that they were somehow here with me and that’s why I was thinking that. I have really been missing them lately, especially my dad. Since Gayla’s dad died, it’s been just me and all these, no offense, WOMEN! Don't tell anyone but, I think they're trying to kill me. Just kidding. No I'm not.

Happy birthday Mom.

I love and miss you.

Keith

I'm watching Sammy Hagar on HDNet right now. Sammy's one of my favorites. The man is 60 years old this year. Truthfully, if I didn't know how old he is, I would say he's about my age (48). My sister turned 60 this year and I guess she has a really hard time with it. I can't say I blame her. I will probably have a very hard time when I turn 50 in two years.

Anyway, Sammy's on stage right now drinking tequila and "trying" to persuade this beautiful young girl, whose about a third of his age, to leave him alone because his wife is watching. The Rock and Roll lifestyle! Gotta love it!
I go to my blog almost if not every day to click the links to other blogs that I read. Yeah, I use an aggregator too but I really like going to the blogs themselves. I don't know why, I just do. Anyway, I noticed tonight that my archives go back three years. It's actually 3 years and 3 months. I also noticed that I have a measly 146 posts. One hundred forty six posts in approximately 1185 days. Hence the title of this post.

I want to do better. Not to increase the number of posts. But because of something my daughter Kari said to me. I was telling her one day that I didn't post a lot because I felt conscious about other people reading my posts. She said that I shouldn't because they're not for other people. They're for me. They're for me to record the events of my life. Pretty smart girl that Kari is.

So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to record the events of my life. I've already missed a huge one in the last couple of months! We've bought a new house! And I haven't written a thing or posted a single picture. See? I suck at blogging. Let's see if we can change that.
