So yesterday, I'm all excited because my new domain name has finally come online. The first thing I wanted to do was to change all the urls on my web sites to use the new address. I also thought it would be really cool to have an email address using my new domain name so I searched the web for a free email server to run here at the house. It took a while, but I finally came across Office Mail by Burrotech. It didn't take too long to get it up and running and I was finally able to send and receive an email from keith@bigkspub.com. Pretty cool I must say!

So once I got that setup, I again went to all my web pages and started changing my email address to reflect the new one at bigkspub.com. Well that was enough for one day, I mean I'd been working on the computer for about 10 hours! Just ask my wife! :)

When I got up this morning, I peeked in the computer room, better known in our house as the "Geek Room", to make sure that all was well. As soon as I looked at the screen I knew something was up because the screen saver was not even moving! Shit. So I sat down and tried to revive it and finally I was able to at least see the desktop. When I finally got the Office Mail UI up so I could see what was going on I noticed that there were some 500 or so emails waiting to be sent. Well well well, now that didn't take long at all did it?

Spammer Bastard.

I don't get these people. Everyone in the world who has a computer and is online hates spam mail! But yet some business or some other a**hole still pays these spammer bastards to send thousands of emails that no one wants and no one reads! DID YOU HEAR ME SPAMMER BASTARDS? WE DON'T EVEN READ THEM!!! What is wrong with you people?

Bastards.

So I had to shut everything down and reboot plus I took all my sites offline until I could spend some time and figure out how to block these bastards out. What a pain.

Bastards.

But the good news is? I'm up and running again and I'm even running my mail server, after taking some steps to secure things up a bit. Pretty cool huh? Wish me luck!

I've been tossing it around for awhile now but yesterday morning I finally went out and did it. I registered a domain name! I know, I know, no big deal, a gazillion trillion others have done it. Whoopee Keith. I, however, am a little excited about it. Woo hoo again! Computers are just too awesome.

So, the url to this and all my other sites will soon be changing to www.bigkspub.com. Ta daaaa! Just kinda rolls off your tongue, doesn't it?

So now, being the anal retentive, obsessive compulsive lunatic that I am, I have to figure out a transistion plan so my millions thousands all both of my readers will be able to find me!

Stay tuned for updates.

Yesterday was a great day all around. Not only did Michigan win, but my older sister Sharon and her husband Will rolled into town in their motor home for a quick visit! After the Michigan game we all gathered at our house and watched Wisconsin whip Ohio State and had some beer and pizza down at Big K's Pub. My other sister Deniece and her husband Chuck came by along with Gayla's parents, her sister Staci, and my niece Kristen and her two kids. Needless to say we had a house full but it was really great having everyone over. After the Lions' game today, we're all going to head out to Sharon and Will's motor home and do a little BBQin'.

Man, what a game! Michigan comes from behind on an "NFL like" drive led by Chad Henne! This kid is going to be something! He was 33 of 49 for 328 yards! Pretty awesome for a 19 year old!

In my post yesterday, I can't believe I forgot to mention Michael Hart! Another true freshman with a great future! Hart carried the ball 33 times for 160 yards and a touchdown. He is only 18 years old!

Right now I'm feeling pretty good about the next few years of Michigan football. The final score was Michigan 27, Minnesota 24.

Go Blue!!

Michigan plays Minnesota today for the Little Brown Jug. This is a pretty neat story and in my opinion signifies what college sports is and should be all about. Michigan has a 3:1 lead in keeping the jug but you never know what's going to happen, especially with Michigan (like Notre Dame this year!). Every season, they always seem to lose one game that they're supposed to win. I guess that's why they play the game!

I think Michigan is playing better now and Chad Henne is settling in nicely as the QB. This kid is a true freshman but in my opinion, he has the "coolness" of a senior. He doesn't seem to get rattled much and really hangs in the pocket. Of course though, he's got a lot to learn!

Which brings me to Matt Gutierrez. What a tough break for this kid. I would think that when a high school quarterback signs with Michigan they have one thing in mind and that's the NFL! Matt's been waiting patiently for his chance to run the "Maize and Blue" and this year was supposed to be his turn. The week before the opening game he suffered some kind of injury in his throwing arm and couldn't play. In steps Henne and did a pretty damn good job! I don't think Gutierrez is going to get another chance unless Henne has a melt down. If he doesn't ever play in college, how is he going make it to the NFL? Tough break for Gutierrez.

Go Blue!!
